Martial Arts registration is open now through 9/19! Register today!

Union Township Recreation is excited to bring back its newest program – Martial Arts! Brought forward in partnership with Impact Martial Arts of Clinton, UTREC will be offering introductory martial arts classes for kids and adults. Registration for our Fall Martial Arts program will be open from 8/19 – 9/19!

Program Overview:

UTREC is committed to bringing forward new programs that allow our participants opportunities to experience new things in a safe yet fun environment – and this is no exception. With our Fall Martial Arts program, kids get 5 weeks to try unlimited Brazilian Jiu Jutsu, Tae Kwon Do, or Kickboxing classes at a discounted rate. 

  • This program is for kids in grades 1 – 8, and you are purchasing unlimited classes to use at your discretion between 10/19 – 11/20/2026.  Class days and times can be found on Impact Martial Art’s website, but the list below outlines the options avialable as part of this package from UTREC:
    Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:45 – 5:30pm
  • Tae Kwon Do: Mondays and Wednesdays 4-4:45pm or 5:45 – 6:30pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4-4:45pm or 4:45 – 5:30pm.
  • Kickboxing: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-4:45pm

Logistics:

  • Class attendance is based on your schedule and not required (for example, if you can make Mondays and Wednesdays but not Saturdays, that’s OK).
  • Participants should show up wearing sports attire (unless a uniform is provided). Shoes are to be taken off upon entry, and no equipment will need to be purchased for this program.
  • All classes will take place at Impact Martial Arts, located at 36 Wal-Mart Plaza, Clinton, NJ 08809.
  • Prior to your first class, each parent/adult will need to review and sign Impact Martial Art’s student waiver. This will be circulated and retained by Impact for their records.
  • As this is program, the Kids BBJ class will be limited to 12 participants. We will have a waitlist enabled during registration only to gauge interest for future programs and to fill spots, should they become available.

Go to: https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm

Type in “Union Township Hampton NJ, NJ” for organization and select it from the drop down, make an account if needed, and then sign up as warranted. Once logged in/account made, look for the orange “register now” button. Click it and the current seasons open for registration will appear in a new box. Select and go from there.
