Registration is now open for UTREC’s inaugural Adult Volleyball season! Come play, meet new people, and help us serve up fun via Union Township’s newest recreation program!
Who?
Local residents (men and women), ages 22+, who are looking for a fun, social, and recreational volleyball experience. Players of all skill levels are welcome—from beginners looking to learn to experienced players wanting to stay active.
When?
The program will run Thursday evenings during September and October, from 6:00–9:00 PM.
Where?
One of the Union Township School gyms (final location will be announced prior to the start of the program).
How will this work?
- This first season will be run as an open gym / pickup volleyball format.
- Participants will register through CommunityPass, complete the required waivers, and pay a $40 registration fee.
- Each Thursday, players will be divided into teams for friendly pickup games throughout the evening.
- Teams will rotate based on attendance to keep everyone involved and maximize playing time.
- Whether you’re looking for competitive rallies or just a fun way to stay active, the focus will be on good sportsmanship, meeting new people, and enjoying the game.
- No jerks allowed! Respect for fellow players and good sportsmanship are expected at all times. Anyone displaying unsafe or inappropriate behavior will receive one warning before being asked to leave for the evening. Repeated issues may result in removal from the remainder of the program without a refund.
- Space is limited based on gym capacity. Once registration reaches capacity, a waitlist will be activated.
Why?
Because recreation doesn’t stop after high school! UTREC is excited to continue expanding adult recreation opportunities that bring neighbors together, encourage healthy lifestyles, and strengthen our community through sport.
Our First Season
As this is our inaugural season, we’re keeping things simple with a pickup format to help build the volleyball community and gauge interest. Our long-term vision is to grow this into a larger program that could eventually include organized leagues, tournaments, and social events.
