UTREC Martial Arts registration for Spring 2025 opened 2/1!
Union Township Recreation is excited to bring back its newest program – Martial Arts! Brought forward in partnership with Impact Martial Arts of Clinton, UTREC will be offering introductory martial arts classes for kids and adults. Registration for our Spring Martial Arts program will be open from 2/1 – 2/28, with a late registration period available from 3/1 – 3/7 (subject to a late fee).
Program Overview:
UTREC is committed to bringing forward new programs that allow our kids and adults opportunities to experience new things in a safe yet fun environment – and this is no exception. For Spring 2025, we have three class options:
- Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) classes for kids will be offered on Mondays and Wednesday from 5:45-6:30pm, and Saturdays from 11:30am-12:15pm starting 4/28 and running through 6/6.
- With our new 6-week Martial Arts program, kids will be able to try introductory Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes.
- Classes are offered for kids in grades 1st – 8th grade.
- A UTREC tshirt will be provided for all kids BJJ participants.
- Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for adults will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30pm, and Saturdays from 11am-12:30pm starting 4/29 and running through 6/6.
- Impact Martial Arts will provide a uniform for all participants.
- Adult Kickboxing:
- Kickboxing classes for adults will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm, Tuesdays from 7:30 – 8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:30-10:30am starting 4/28 and running through 6/6.
- Impact Martial Arts will provide gloves for all participants.
Logistics:
- Class attendance is based on your schedule and not required (for example, if you can make Mondays and Wednesdays but not Saturdays, that’s OK).
- Participants should show up wearing sports attire (unless a uniform is provided). Shoes are to be taken off upon entry, and no equipment will need to be purchased for this program.
- All classes will take place at Impact Martial Arts, located at 36 Wal-Mart Plaza, Clinton, NJ 08809.
- Prior to your first class, each parent/adult will need to review and sign Impact Martial Art’s student waiver. This will be circulated and retained by Impact for their records.
- As this is program, each class will be limited to 12 participants. We will have a waitlist enabled during registration only to gauge interest for future programs and to fill spots, should they become available.

Type in “Union Township Hampton NJ, NJ” for organization and select it from the drop down, make an account if needed, and then sign up as warranted. Once logged in/account made, look for the orange “register now” button. Click it and the current seasons open for registration will appear in a new box. Select and go from there.
